Step 2: Take Precise Measurements

As mentioned above, you’re likely going to install it about four to six inches above the rod. Remember that the higher you hang your curtains, the taller your ceilings will appear. Here’s where the level comes in, as you’ll want to make sure that the brackets are perfectly aligned.

Step 5: Hang Your Curtains on Your Rod

With everything secure and in place, you can now hang the curtains on the rod using the hooks, rings, pockets, grommets, or whatever attaching device they have. Secure the rod between the brackets and you should be all done!
